Firefighters contained a fire at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center to a supply room on the second floor of a building on the campus, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
Multiple engines and two battalions were initially dispatched to the hospital at 7:48 a.m., according to Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency.
A firefighter reported that the small fire was likely electrical and decided no additional units were needed. Light smoke and no heat were also reported, according to scanner traffic.
The fire was declared under control within 15 minutes.
Hospital employees and patients were cleared from the second floor during the response, according to scanner traffic.
